As a group waterlily dahlias are my favorite. I am also drawn to orange tones so Teddy ranks high on my list of my favorite dahlias. Teddy’s color is a more muted beige-orange that blends well with other rustic colors. Flowers are about 4” and are born on stems great for cutting. The plant is vigorous and productive. I find Teddy to be one of the more dependable varieties, producing another flush of flowers quickly after being cut or deadheaded.
The plant offered has been tested for the 6 most common dahlia viruses-and cleaned if necessary using established protocols. Plants offered are green plugs grown from tissue culture. The plant will be free of DCMV, DMV, INSV, CMV, TSV, and TSWV. While it is possible for these plants to become reinfected once they are in your growing area or garden, starting with clean plant material gives you a leg up! We recommend proper hygiene when working with your plants such as sterilizing cutting tools between plants and managing insect pests with appropriate controls.
